Mangaluru: The fifth edition of ‘Besigegondu Chamara 2025’, a free and vibrant summer camp organized by the Chamara Foundation in collaboration with Hindu Vidyadayinee Sangha, concluded with a joyful valedictory ceremony on Friday at Hindu Vidyadayinee High School, Surathkal.

This thoughtfully curated camp, designed especially for students from government schools, brought together over 100 enthusiastic children for a week packed with learning, creativity, and self-discovery. The initiative aimed to bridge gaps in exposure and development opportunities for underprivileged students.

Popular Tulu and Kannada film actor Vineeth Kumar, present as chief guest, praised the initiative for its inclusive spirit and said such camps can be life-changing for children who lack access to extracurricular experiences. He encouraged participants to carry forward the lessons into their school and personal lives.

Rahul Amin, actor, director, and anchor, addressed the young audience and described the camp as a great platform for nurturing personality, talent, and confidence. He urged the students to embrace similar opportunities that fuel inner growth.

The closing ceremony was also graced by Santosh Pai, General Manager at BASF, Sudhakar Rao Pejawar, Correspondent of the school, and Rachana, Managing Trustee of the Chamara Foundation.

Over the week, more than 22 resource persons — including noted names like Karan Acharya, Vismaya Vinayak, and Shashidhar Shetty — conducted sessions on yoga, art, dance, theatre, and more. The Darpana Performing Arts team from Udupi added creative flair with immersive activities.
