Bjp

On June 9th, a violent incident occurred in the village of Boliyaru, Karnataka, involving two BJP workers, Harish Anchan, 41, and Nandakumar, 24. They were reportedly assaulted and stabbed by a group of 20-30 individuals, whose identities remain unknown, allegedly from the Muslim community. The altercation arose during celebrations of Prime Minister Modi’s re-election for a third term.

According to exclusive information obtained by OpIndia, the BJP workers were participating in festivities in Mudipu and Boliyaru villages, expressing their support for the BJP-led NDA government. As they passed a local mosque in Boliyaru, their slogans provoked some members of the Muslim community, leading to a confrontation.

Witnesses suggest that the situation escalated when the Muslim individuals followed the BJP workers, eventually blocking their path near Samadhan Resto-Bar. Verbal arguments ensued, focusing on the celebration of PM Modi’s victory and recent electoral successes. The confrontation turned physical, resulting in the stabbing of Harish and Nandakumar, and the assault of Krishna Kumar.

It’s reported that the attackers also forcibly removed the saffron scarfs and clothes worn by the BJP workers, symbolizing their anger towards the BJP and its supporters.

The victims were admitted to KS Hegde Hospital in Deralkatte, with one in critical condition. An FIR has been filed by Krishna Kumar, one of the assaulted BJP workers. The Mangaluru Police are actively investigating the incident, gathering evidence including CCTV footage from the area.

Security has been heightened in the affected villages to prevent further violence. OpIndia spoke with BJP workers who strongly condemned the attack, demanding severe punishment for the perpetrators.
