BJP’s Janakrosha Yatra in Mangaluru to Protest Congress Government’s Misrule
Mangaluru City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath announced that BJP State President BY Vijayendra and other prominent leaders will join the Janakrosha Yatra in Mangaluru on April 9. Kamath expressed that the march is a direct response to what he called the “misrule” of the Congress government in the state, highlighting issues such as continuous price hikes, corruption, and negligence towards farmers, Dalits, and Hindu communities.
“For the past 20 months, the state has seen constant price increases, embezzlement of funds meant for Dalits, anti-Hindu policies, and favoritism towards Muslims, which has led to widespread dissatisfaction with the Congress government’s actions,” Kamath said. The march is set to begin at 3 pm from Ambedkar Circle and will proceed to the Clock Tower in Mangaluru, aiming to express the public’s frustration with the state’s administration.
BJP leaders, including BY Vijayendra, R Ashoka, Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, CN Ashwath Narayan, CT Ravi, and Capt Brijesh Chowta, will join the protest. Kamath assured that preparations for the march are nearly complete. He further criticized the Congress government for “uncontrolled price hikes, deteriorating law and order, corruption, nepotism, and excessive appeasement,” stressing the “unprecedented misrule” under their leadership.
Following Mangaluru’s rally, Vijayendra will participate in a similar Janakrosha Yatra in Udupi on April 10.
