Bantwal – The Bantwal Urban Development Authority (BUDA) convened its monthly meeting on Tuesday, chaired by president Baby Kunder, to tackle pressing local issues and advance infrastructure projects.
A major decision was to address the ongoing confusion surrounding survey numbers 9 and 11. BUDA resolved to convene a joint meeting with Panchayat Development Officers (PDOs) and panchayat presidents from across the taluk to arrive at a clear solution. The dispute has been creating administrative delays and public frustration for some time.
In another significant move, BUDA will submit a detailed proposal to the deputy commissioner for the development of Girigudde Lake in Bantwal Kasaba village. The planned upgrades aim to enhance the lake’s role as a water source and community space, improving the local environment and amenities.
The meeting was attended by BUDA members Manohar Kulal, Abdul Razak, and Harish Ajjibettu; Amtady PDO Gokuldas Bhakt; Narikombu panchayat officer Harish; municipal representative Abdul Razak; and planning authority secretary Gayathri Dombar.
These steps underscore BUDA’s commitment to proactive governance and sustainable urban growth in the Bantwal region.
