Burglary and Arson Leave Kadaba Family Devastated
In a shocking incident, burglars broke into a house in Manadka, located in Kadaba taluk, on November 15 while the owner, Satish, was attending a wedding. The culprits not only looted valuable jewellery but also set fire to a cupboard, causing significant damage to critical documents.
Satish, a 45-year-old man, was informed about the incident by a relative on November 17. Upon returning home, he discovered that the backdoor of his house had been forcibly opened, and his bedroom was in chaos. One cupboard had been destroyed by fire, and several important items were missing. The stolen items included jewellery worth lakhs of rupees, as well as crucial documents such as property records, bank statements, Aadhaar cards, and the disability card of Satish’s brother. Additionally, records related to their poultry farm business were also destroyed in the fire.
The damage extended beyond material losses, as the fire destroyed important paperwork that could severely affect their legal and financial matters. Satish has filed a complaint with the Uppinangady police station, and a case has been registered for burglary and arson. Authorities are now investigating the incident to trace the perpetrators and recover the stolen property.
This distressing event highlights the growing concern about property security, as families face not only financial loss but also the destruction of irreplaceable documents.
