Mangaluru: Fishermen in Dakshina Kannada district have been advised to exercise caution and avoid venturing into the sea due to predicted low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast strong winds blowing at speeds of 40 kmph to 55 kmph along the Karnataka coast, along with high tides. There is a chance of heavy rainfall for the next two days.
These conditions pose a significant risk to the safety of fishermen and their vessels. As a precautionary measure, most fishing boats in the area have already been anchored at the port, heeding the warnings from the authorities.
