
Chairperson Mamatha Gatti Calls for United Effort Against Student Drug Addiction
Mangaluru: Mamatha Gatti, Chairperson of the Cashew Development Corporation, emphasized the urgent need to combat drug addiction among students, which threatens their future. Speaking at the ‘Addiction-Free Day’ event, she stressed the importance of promoting healthy habits. The program, held in collaboration with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Wenlock District Hospital, Department of Information and Public Relations, Karnataka State Temperance Board, and Link De-addiction Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centre, was organized to mark Dr. Mahant Shivayogi’s birthday celebrations.
Gatti highlighted the dangers of drug addiction, urging students to focus on positive behaviors and habits to secure a bright future. She praised the initiative of celebrating Mahant Shivayogi’s birthday as an addiction-free day, recognizing its potential impact in raising awareness and fostering a drug-free community.
