On June 15, CSI Lombard Memorial (Mission) Hospital (LMH) will celebrate its 101st anniversary with the launch of the ‘INSPIRE’ green hospital project at its premises. The project was announced by Dr. Sushil Jathanna, director of Mission Hospital, during a press meet on June 13.
INSPIRE is a comprehensive three to five-year program designed to achieve carbon neutrality and climate resilience. The project’s goals include environmental impact, leadership, cost savings, health benefits, and community engagement. Dr. Jathanna highlighted that the project, named ‘INSPIRE’, represents a series of specific goals and approaches aimed at benefiting society.
Hemachandra Kumar, bishop of the CSI Karnataka Southern Diocese, will inaugurate the installation of solar panels that will provide renewable energy to the entire hospital campus. Dr. Ishwar Gadad, District Health Officer of Udupi, will serve as the chief guest, while Nise Meruno, a musician from Nagaland, and Ivan Soans, CSI area chairman, will be the guests of honour.
Deena Prabhavathi, administrative officer, Dr. Ganesh Kamath, senior medical officer, and Rohini Rathnakar, public relations officer and head of community services, were also present at the press meet.
