Daijiworld TV marked its 10th anniversary with a grand celebration at the Milagres Jubilee Hall, attended by notable figures from media, government, business, and cultural spheres. Chief guest Sudhir Kumar Shetty, former president of UAE Exchange, praised the channel’s role in uniting the people of coastal Karnataka and beyond. “Daijiworld is recognized globally for its authenticity and cultural diversity,” Shetty noted, highlighting the channel’s broadcast in five local languages.
Habeeb Rahman, another distinguished guest, emphasized the importance of media ethics, commending Daijiworld’s dedication to verified and ethical reporting in an age of rapid digital media. Rohan Monteiro reflected on the channel’s early challenges, noting how perseverance turned it into a trusted brand for the coastal Karnataka diaspora, especially in the Gulf.
Walter Nandalike, founder of Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd, thanked the channel’s supporters and advertisers, expressing optimism for the future. The event honored long-serving team members and launched a new Journalism course, while musical performances by Mohammad Iqbal and Sowmya Bhat added to the evening’s celebration.
The anniversary was graced by dignitaries such as MPs, MLAs, and media professionals, affirming Daijiworld’s significant contribution to the region’s media landscape.
