Mangaluru: Coastal areas of Dakshina Kannada district have experienced a 41% increase in pre-monsoon rainfall, marking an exceptional season for the region. Over the last month, rainfall has been substantial, achieving the target for normal rainfall over a three-month period.
Between October 1 and the end of December, the area received 308.9 mm of rainfall, significantly exceeding the typical 259.4 mm expected for the rabi season. This surge is 41% higher than the seasonal average, with notable increases recorded across various localities in the region.
