A district-level cooking competition highlighting millet and forgotten recipes will take place on December 7 at the Joint Director of Agriculture Office, PWD Building Complex, Nehru Maidan Road, Mangaluru. The competition is open to all district residents (excluding students).
Participants must submit an application with their photograph, name, address, dish details, ingredients, preparation time, and a brief description of the cooking method. Applications are due by December 5 and can be submitted via email to jdagrimng@gmail.com or in person/by post to the Joint Director of Agriculture, Dakshina Kannada. Late applications will not be considered. Only vegetarian dishes are allowed.
Each participant may present one millet-based dish and one forgotten recipe. The winners of the district competition will proceed to the state-level event. Cash prizes of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000, and Rs 2,000 will be awarded to the top three winners.
