A 69-year-old pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a speeding bike near ITI College on Airport Road late Monday night.
The accident occurred around 10:30 PM when Padmanabha Nayak, a resident of Sharbathkatte, was on his way home. The bike, ridden by Charan Shetty, hit him at high speed. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Nayak succumbed to his injuries.
Nayak was a retired employee of Circuit House. The biker sustained minor injuries in the collision.
Kadri Traffic Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
