Fake Lokayukta Officials Surface in Dakshina Kannada; Public Alert Issued

The Karnataka Lokayukta, Mangaluru Division, has issued a public warning following reports of individuals falsely impersonating Lokayukta officials in Dakshina Kannada district. These imposters have allegedly been threatening government employees and attempting to manipulate administrative processes for personal gain.

In an official statement, the Lokayukta clarified that only five officials are currently authorized in the Mangaluru Division. They are:

• Kumarachandra – Superintendent of Police
• Gana P Kumar and Suresh Kumar P – Deputy Superintendents of Police
• Bharathi G and Chandrashekhar KN – Police Inspectors

The public is urged to verify the identities of any individuals claiming to represent the Lokayukta by referring to the official website. No other individuals are authorized to act on behalf of the Lokayukta in the region.

Citizens receiving suspicious calls or threats from impersonators are advised to report the incident immediately to the Lokayukta office or the nearest police station. Swift action will be taken against such fraudulent behavior.
