In Panemangaluru, a tragic accident involving a rickshaw and a bike resulted in the overturning of the rickshaw, leading to the death of a passenger. The incident occurred on the evening of Monday, May 20.
The deceased has been identified as Altaf (18), a resident of Sajeepa. The accident occurred while the rickshaw was traveling from B C Road, and the bike was approaching from Panemangaluru. The rickshaw driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn.
CCTV footage captured the harrowing moment when the passenger was thrown onto the road as the rickshaw overturned.
Altaf sustained severe head injuries from the impact and was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru. Despite medical efforts, he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
The Melkar traffic police promptly responded to the incident and have registered a case.
