A fire broke out early Thursday morning at a garment store located within a shopping complex in Surathkal, resulting in significant damage to clothing materials. The blaze is believed to have been sparked by a short circuit in the design section on the upper floor of the store.
Firefighters swiftly arrived on the scene and managed to contain the flames, preventing them from spreading to nearby shops. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the store sustained considerable losses.
