In a chilling attack early Friday morning, a fish vendor narrowly escaped death in Kuntikana, Mangaluru. The victim, Lukman from Ullal, was waiting to deliver fish to a customer around 6:30 AM when the incident unfolded.

According to reports, a gang arrived in a black Toyota Innova and violently assaulted Lukman. He was thrown to the ground, and the attackers allegedly attempted to crush him with a large stone in a clear attempt to kill him.

Just as the situation turned dire, a courageous Hindu woman nearby witnessed the assault. Her loud cries for help startled the assailants, forcing them to abandon their deadly plan and flee the scene.

Lukman suffered injuries in the attack and is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Sources say his condition is stable.

Police have launched an investigation to identify the culprits and determine the motive behind the brutal attempt.

The timely intervention of the bystander not only thwarted a potential murder but also showcased the power of ordinary citizens in moments of crisis.
