Mangaluru: Bajpe police apprehended four individuals involved in the illegal transportation of 19 cattle from Moodbidri to Kaikamba via Suralpadi.

The accused have been identified as Arafath Ali (36) from 62nd Tokuru village, Mohammad Afrid (27), Abdul Nazir (31) from Pranthya village, and Farees Saldanha from Perantadka Kashipatna in Beltangady taluk.

The operation was led by Bajpe inspector Sandeep, along with PSI Revan Siddappa and PSI Mallikarjun from Kavoor police station. Personnel from Bajpe and Mangaluru North crime detection units assisted in the arrests.

Further investigations are underway.
