In a follow-up operation, Konaje police arrested the fourth accused in a drug trafficking case involving MDMA. Mohammed Almaz (24), a resident of Indabettu village near Bantwal, was apprehended near Moodipu for supplying MDMA to three individuals who had been arrested earlier.

During the arrest, the police seized 53 grams of MDMA, a stock pot, a car, and two mobile phones, all valued at Rs 7.77 lakh. This brings the total seizure in the case to 103 grams of MDMA and items worth Rs 15.53 lakh.

The initial arrests on November 25 involved Gautam (22), Karthik (27), and Nikhil (28), who were caught selling MDMA near Kambalapadavu in Pajir village. The trio was found with 50 grams of MDMA and items worth Rs 7.76 lakh.

The operation was led by ACP Dhanya Nayak, along with Konaje police and the Anti-Drug Team, under the guidance of Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal IPS and Deputy Commissioners of Police Siddharth Goyal (Law and Order) and Dinesh Kumar (Crime and Traffic). This continued effort underscores the police’s commitment to tackling drug trafficking in the region.
