Govt school girls denied SSLC exams, officials step in to restore justice
In a shocking case of academic exclusion, two students from Padmunja Government High School in Belthangady were allegedly prevented from appearing for the first four SSLC exams. Following intervention from education department authorities, they have now been permitted to write the remaining two papers.
The girls, identified as slow learners, were reportedly denied hall tickets to maintain the school’s perfect pass percentage. This move sparked outrage, leading to the involvement of DDPI Govinda Madivala and Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat CEO Anandh K, who personally met the students and their families to ensure they could continue their exams.
Officials assured the students that corrective measures would be taken against those responsible. The girls, determined to fight for their rights, urged authorities to hold the teachers accountable. The case has raised serious concerns about unethical practices in the education system.
With official support, the students will now write their remaining exams at the designated center starting Wednesday. Investigations are underway, and action is expected based on the final report.
