Helmet Attack On Ksrtc Bus In Mangaluru Scooter Rider Fleeing The Scene

On Sunday evening, a scooter rider reportedly smashed the windshield of a KSRTC bus with a helmet at Alape, located on the outskirts of Mangaluru, before fleeing the scene. The Kankanady Town Police have filed a case and are actively investigating the incident.

According to Commissioner of Police Anupam Agrawal, the event occurred at approximately 7:30 pm when the KSRTC bus, en route from Mangaluru to Bengaluru, was being driven by Arun. The bus driver confronted the rider, who had positioned himself in front of the bus. Furious, the scooter rider blocked the bus’s path and struck the windshield with his helmet, then quickly escaped from the location.

The Kankanady police swiftly arrived at the scene, interviewed the bus driver, and arranged alternative transport for the affected passengers. A formal complaint by driver Arun led to the registration of a case against the accused for obstructing a government official in the line of duty and for damaging public property. Authorities have identified the suspect and are making efforts to track him down. Investigations are ongoing.
