Mangaluru: Granite World, Adyar owner Yakub has earned appreciation for his honesty after handing over a cash bag he found on the road to the police.
Cash bag lost while being taken to bank
The cash bag belonged to the Uppinangady branch of Mandovi Motors and was reportedly lost on August 21 while employees were carrying the branch’s cash to a local bank for deposit.
Yakub found the bag while travelling along the road. Instead of keeping the money, he promptly handed it over to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) at the Mangaluru Police Commissioner’s Office.
Mandovi Motors thanks Yakub
The cash was later handed over to Mandovi Motors representatives from the DCP’s office. DGM (Accounts) Ashok Kumar and Senior Manager (HR) Shivaprasad received the cash on behalf of the company.
Mandovi Motors, in a statement, expressed its gratitude to Yakub for his honesty and for ensuring that the company’s money was returned safely.
