
Inauguration of Karnataka’s Second Tallest Flagpole at Kadri Park
On Wednesday, Kadri Park in Dakshina Kannada proudly unveiled Karnataka’s second tallest flagpole, standing at 75 meters. This new landmark, funded through the Smart City initiative, represents a significant achievement for the city and the state.
MP Capt Brijesh Chowta emphasized the project’s impact on national pride, stating, “The national flag is a symbol of our self-respect, and this initiative strengthens national sentiments under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.”
MLA Vedavyas Kamath highlighted the flagpole’s role in boosting local tourism, while Mayor Sudhir Shetty noted its impressive height and cost of Rs 75 lakh. The flagpole will also feature a lighting system to enhance its visibility.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Deputy Mayor Sunita, standing committee president Bharath Kumar, and former mayor Jayananda Anchan, among others.
