Kadri Park Hosts Four-Day Flowers and Fruits Show

Mangaluru: The much-anticipated four-day Flowers and Fruits Show began on January 23 at Kadri Park. Organized by the Department of Horticulture in collaboration with the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Kadri Park Development Committee, and Siri Horticulture Association, the event promises a delightful experience for visitors.

A stunning floral replica of the Eiffel Tower is the highlight of this year’s show. Crafted with an impressive two lakh flowers, the structure stands 22 feet tall and 12 feet wide, drawing crowds in awe. Other unique attractions include a Kambala buffalo pair made of Siri Dhanya and decorative leaves, and a replica showcasing Yakshagana artistry. Over 100 stalls featuring a vibrant array of flowers, fruits, and horticulture-related products add to the event’s appeal.

The show was inaugurated by Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta. Notable attendees included MLC Ivan D’Souza, Mayor Manoj Kumar Kodikal, Cashew Development Corporation Chief Mamatha Gatti, Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan, ZP CEO Dr. Anand, and other officials and dignitaries.

The Kadri Park Flowers and Fruits Show continues to be a key annual event, celebrating the region’s horticultural prowess and attracting enthusiasts from all walks of life.
