Mangaluru: Karnataka Assembly Speaker UT Khader has announced plans to boost tourism in Dakshina Kannada with a series of promotional activities scheduled every month. During an official review meeting at the deputy commissioner’s office, Khader revealed the initiative to create a tourism calendar for the district, featuring new events alongside existing activities.
Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan MP outlined the monthly program, which includes events such as the International Kite Festival, Street Food Festival, Paddle Festival, Book Exhibition, River Festival, Karavali Utsav, Beach Utsav, Marathon, Autocross, and more. These events will involve sponsors and educational institutions and will become annual fixtures according to the tourism calendar.
“Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) chairman Sadashiva Ullal also attended the meeting, emphasizing the importance of enhancing tourism opportunities in the region.
