Mauritius team to train at KMC Hospital, Attavar
From June 23 to 27, a high-level delegation comprising oncologists and medical physicists from the National Cancer Centre, Mauritius will undergo intensive hands-on training at KMC Hospital, Attavar. The programme aims to familiarise participants with both hardware and software aspects of the SagiNova system and its clinical applications in brachytherapy.

This reputation as a frontrunner in oncology education and services makes KMC the ideal venue for international knowledge sharing.
Speaking on the development, a spokesperson from the Department of Radiation Oncology highlighted the event as a milestone for clinical innovation and global collaboration. The programme aims to expand medical capacity and ultimately improve patient outcomes through shared expertise.
Bridging borders through medical education
This initiative not only enhances the skills of medical professionals from Mauritius but also reflects a growing trend of cross-border cooperation in medical training, technology transfer, and research. The workshop is expected to serve as a blueprint for future international tie-ups between KMC and global cancer institutes.
