Mangaluru: For the third consecutive year, the KSRTC Mangaluru division will roll out its Dasara special packages, this time adding a new destination to its lineup. The special tours will run from October 3 to October 12, providing travellers with four unique packages. Among these, a fresh itinerary from Mangaluru to Murudeshwara and Kumbashi has been introduced to meet popular demand.

Temple Tour in Mangaluru

One of the most popular tours is the Temple Tour in Mangaluru. The trip will cover some of the region’s most revered temples, including:

  • Shri Mangaladevi Temple
  • Sunkadakatte Shri Ambika Annapoorneshwari Temple
  • Kateel Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple
  • Bappanadu Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple (with lunch)
  • Sasihithlu Shri Bhagavathi Temple and Beach
  • Chitrapura Shri Durgaparameshwari Temple
  • Shri Urwa Mariyamma Temple (evening snacks)
  • Kudroli Gokarnanatha Temple (Navadurga Darshan)

The tour starts at 8 am from the Mangaluru KSRTC Bus Stand and ends at 8:30 pm at the same location. Ticket prices are set at Rs 400 for adults and Rs 300 for children aged 6-12 years.

Another exciting option is the Mangaluru to Madikeri package. This trip will depart at 7 am from the Mangaluru KSRTC Bus Stand and cover key attractions like:

Rajesh Shetty, Senior Divisional Controller of KSRTC Mangaluru Division, said that the introduction of the new Murudeshwara package was in response to repeated requests from travellers.

“Many of our previous travellers requested new destinations, which led to the launch of the Murudeshwara package this year,” said Shetty.

Bookings for all the packages are open, and tickets can be purchased online through the KSRTC website (www.ksrtc.in). The tours will be conducted using non-AC Karnataka Sarige buses to ensure comfort and affordability for passengers.
