Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in light of repair work being undertaken by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Paver blocks are being installed on the stretch between KIOCL Junction and Kulur Arch Bridge, with work scheduled between 8 PM on July 22 and 8 AM on July 25.
City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy stated that the new Kuloor Bridge (from Mangaluru towards Udupi) is temporarily being made two-way, which is expected to increase traffic congestion, especially between Kodikal Cross–KIOCL Junction and Panambur Junction–KIOCL Junction.
Motorists heading from Mangaluru to Udupi via the new bridge are urged to drive carefully and use alternative routes during peak hours.
