A late-night scare erupted in Vidyanagar, near Kumpala, when a petrol-powered TVS Ntorq scooter parked in a residential compound caught fire. The scooter, owned by Rakesh, an ITI student who had purchased it just two months prior, ignited around 12:30 AM, quickly spreading flames to the home’s window and electrical wires.

Fortunately, the family was alerted in time and took swift action to extinguish the fire, preventing a larger disaster. However, some damage was sustained to the property.

A complaint has been lodged at the Ullal police station, with investigators suspecting a short circuit as the potential cause of the fire.
