Liquor Seized in Raid at Chicken Centre in Sullia

Sullia town police raided a chicken centre on Adkabale Road in Arantodu on Saturday night, uncovering illegally stocked liquor hidden on the premises.

Acting on a tip-off, the police inspected the establishment and questioned Dinesh Guthigaru, leading to the discovery of 3.960 litres of liquor sachets concealed in an old plastic bag. During interrogation, Dinesh admitted to purchasing the liquor from a wine shop in Sullia with plans to resell it at a higher price for profit.

A case has been registered against both Dinesh and the wine shop owner for their involvement in this illegal activity. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to cracking down on such violations to ensure compliance with excise laws.

Investigations are underway to identify any further links in the illegal liquor distribution network.
