In the early hours of Friday, around 3 am, a luxury car overturned near the Mundkur-Jarigekatte church after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle. The car was traveling from Shivamogga to Mangaluru when the accident occurred.
Among the passengers, two sustained minor injuries, while one person was seriously injured in the incident.
Pilgrims involved in the Kateel foot march quickly alerted social worker Kedinje Suprith Shetty about the accident.
Reacting swiftly, Suprith Shetty rushed to the scene and facilitated the transportation of the injured individuals to a hospital in Kinnigoli for immediate medical care.
