
Man arrested for forging aadhaar cards and fake documents in Mangaluru
The Mangaluru North Police have apprehended a 63-year-old man, K Ummarabba Maidheen, for allegedly forging Aadhaar cards and creating fake documents to act as a surety for accused individuals in court cases.
The arrest, made on December 31, revealed that Maidheen used counterfeit Aadhaar cards to produce fraudulent documents, posing as a guarantor for people facing trial. The case is registered under Crime Number 141/2023 at Mangaluru North Police Station and includes charges under IPC sections 464, 465, 466, 468, 471, and 474.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of senior police officials, including the city police commissioner and deputy commissioner, with the Mangaluru North station inspector and staff leading the efforts.
The accused, a resident of Chandranagar, Kalathur Post in Kaup taluk of Udupi district, is set to be presented before the court.
