In connection with the murder of Basavaraj Vaddar, also known as Mudukappa (39) from Bagalkote, the accused, Dharmaraj Suvarna, has been apprehended. The tragic incident stemmed from a dispute over a mobile phone.
The murder took place near the seashore behind Bobbarya Daivasthana in Thota Bengre, falling under Panambur Police Station’s jurisdiction. Hanumanth Durugappa Vaddar lodged a complaint with the police, prompting an investigation.
Acting on reliable intelligence, Panambur police arrested Dharmaraj Suvarna (50) during a nighttime operation in the Chompal Police Station area of Kozhikode, Kerala. Suvarna, who works in the fishing industry, had been residing in Thota Bengre.
