Kankanady town police have arrested Nazir Mohammad (26), a rickshaw driver from Kannur, Mangaluru, in connection with the theft of Rs 94,540 from the TVS Kanchana Workshop at Maroli, Mangaluru. The theft was reported on the night of November 19.
During the investigation, police recovered Rs 64,500 in cash from Nazir, along with a scooter, a mobile phone, a helmet, and the weapon used in the crime. The total value of the recovered items is Rs 1,31,700.
The authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
