After evading law enforcement for nearly a decade, Kishore Shetty was finally apprehended by a team from Mangaluru North Police Station. He had been dodging court summons for eight years in a case booked under IPC Section 174(A) (Crime No. 56/2011) and CC No. 4067/2016.

The accused, son of Bhaskar Shetty, was a resident of JP Nagar, Balupete, in Sakleshpur, Hassan district. For years, he ignored multiple legal notices, leading the judiciary to mark the matter as an LPC (Long Pending Case).

Following strict instructions from higher authorities, a police unit led by ASI Gangadhar N, supported by head constables Chandras, Sunil, and HC Purushottam, launched an operation to track him down. Their relentless efforts culminated in his capture at Sakleshpur on January 29.

After his arrest, Shetty was swiftly brought before the court to face the legal consequences of his prolonged disappearance. His case is expected to proceed further as per judicial procedures.

Law enforcement officials continue to crack down on absconders, ensuring that pending cases do not remain unresolved. Authorities have urged individuals facing legal proceedings to cooperate with the system rather than risk harsher punishment for evasion.
