The Mangalore Bar Association has issued a warning of legal action if the ongoing issues with the Kaveri 2.0 software, which have disrupted property registration across Karnataka, are not swiftly resolved. HV Raghavendra, president of the association, stated that since Saturday, the registration process has been halted due to a malfunction in the citizen login feature of the software.
Despite the sub-registrar office login being operational since Monday, the citizen login remains non-functional, exacerbating difficulties for the public and legal professionals alike. This technical glitch has affected property registrations statewide, with the government’s online portal being the sole platform for property transactions in Karnataka.
Raghavendra also criticized the statement made by Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, who had acknowledged the issue but provided no immediate solution. He emphasized that the government must act quickly to resolve the issue and restore the citizen login functionality. If the problem persists without resolution, the Bar Association has warned it will pursue legal action against the government.
