Mangaluru Airport Celebrates Yoga Day with Live Demos & Passenger Engagement
Mangaluru: Marking the International Day of Yoga on June 21, Mangaluru International Airport hosted a rejuvenating yoga session at its domestic arrival hall, bringing together airport stakeholders and passengers in a harmonious celebration of health and mindfulness.
Yoga instructors Kumar Shenoy and Skanda S Navada from the Delampady Yoga Foundation led the session, following protocols set by the Ministry of Ayush. Mr. Skanda captivated the crowd with an impressive demonstration of advanced yogasanas, showcasing strength, balance, and calm composure.
The hour-long event saw enthusiastic participation from CISF personnel, airline staff, ground handling teams, airport employees, and customs officials, all joining in to embrace the spirit of wellness.
Following the main session, the yoga trainers moved on to interact with passengers, offering insights into the benefits of yoga, and teaching simple mudras and breathing exercises. These micro-sessions were well-received, with many travelers taking a moment to learn techniques they could use even while on the move.
Mangaluru International Airport’s initiative reflects the growing trend of integrating wellness into travel spaces, helping travelers and staff find balance amidst busy schedules.
