To mark World Environment Day on June 5, Mangaluru International Airport embraced green traditions by gifting Udupi Jasmine saplings to arriving passengers. Known for its sweet, lingering fragrance, the Udupi Jasmine served as both a memorable souvenir and a symbol of sustainable living.
The initiative, now a cherished annual tradition, aimed to spread joy and environmental awareness through nature’s own fragrance. Passengers were delighted by the thoughtful gesture, which underscored the airport’s commitment to community and climate-friendly practices.
Earlier that morning, airport staff joined hands with key stakeholders to plant saplings at the Precision Approach Lighting (PAL) site, reaffirming their support for green cover expansion. This effort is a part of the Adani Group’s larger mission to plant 100 million saplings across India.
Through such activities, the airport not only beautifies its surroundings but also builds a strong message of ecological responsibility and community participation.
