Mangaluru City Corporation to Launch Online Hoarding Booking Software
The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has announced plans to develop an online software platform that will streamline the process of booking hoarding spaces in the city. This software will allow advertisers to view available locations, make online payments, and obtain necessary licenses from the city corporation.
The proposed software will feature geotagging capabilities, providing comprehensive details and creating a data bank for the urban local body. This will facilitate the online allocation of spaces to applicants. An e-tender will soon be invited to develop the software through an eligible agency.
At a recent council meeting, MCC Commissioner Anand CL highlighted the need for this software to manage data related to authorized and unauthorized hoardings. The software will enable applicants to submit applications for new hoardings, renew permissions, make payments online, and help the MCC remove unauthorized advertisements.
The software will include features for geotagging all identified hoardings, accessible through an app. It will also provide options for city corporation officials to conduct spot inspections and renew advertisement hoardings. Integration with a bank will allow applicants to make required fee payments online. Applicants will be able to check the status of their hoarding licenses through the online platform.
The council discussed the proposal and approved the invitation of an e-tender to develop the new software. This initiative is expected to enhance the efficiency and transparency of the MCC’s advertisement hoarding management system.
