The second additional district and sessions court in Mangaluru has granted conditional bail to 11 individuals, including Prasad Attavar, who were arrested in connection with the attack on ‘Colours Unisex Salon’ in Bejai on January 23.

The accused, members of ‘Rama Sene Karnataka’ and led by Attavar, allegedly raided the salon at Aditya Complex near KSRTC, accusing it of illegal activities. The attackers vandalized the furniture, and charges including attempt to murder and dacoity were filed based on a complaint by the salon owner at the Barke police station.

Following the complaint, Barke police registered an FIR and arrested 14 individuals, including Attavar. They were produced before the sixth JMFC court in Mangaluru on January 24, where they were remanded to judicial custody.

Prasad Attavar and the other accused then filed bail applications before the second additional district and sessions court. After the defense counsel, Mayur Keerthi, presented arguments on February 1, the court reserved its order. On February 5, the court granted conditional bail to 11 of the accused, including Attavar.
