Mangaluru: The spirit of Christmas filled the air across Mangaluru as Christians celebrated the festival with great joy and devotion on Wednesday.
Known as the festival of peace, love, and happiness, Christmas brought the community together through the exchange of greetings and the sharing of Kuswar, enhancing the festive joy.
Churches across the city held Christmas Eve Mass on December 24, accompanied by carol singing, which set the tone for the celebrations. Decorated with twinkling lights and festive décor, churches became centers of hope and togetherness.
On Christmas Day, the Bishop of Mangaluru Diocese, Rev Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha, conducted the Holy Mass at Rosario Church. Delivering the Christmas message, he emphasized the values of peace, kindness, and unity, resonating with the spirit of the season.
The festive cheer continues to echo as families and friends come together to celebrate the most awaited festival of the year.
