Highland Hospital in Mangaluru has dismissed an employee with immediate effect after the individual shared views on social media deemed harmful to national interests. In an official statement, the hospital mentioned that the staff member was removed from service on Saturday for breaching institutional policies and the established code of ethics.
The hospital asserted, “Highland Hospital does not support any opinions or behaviors that could be interpreted as anti-national. We categorically reject the remarks made in the social media post, which are against the country’s welfare. Our institution completely distances itself from such sentiments and reiterates its unwavering loyalty to the sovereignty, unity, and safety of the nation.”
Highlighting its firm stance, the hospital added, “Any expressions or acts that threaten the nation’s integrity and harmony stand in direct contradiction to our core values and principles.”
Meanwhile, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader, Pranta Sahakaryadarshi Sharan Pumpwell, had called for firm action regarding a post uploaded by user @whosafeefaa on platform X. He appealed to Mangaluru City Police to treat the post, which he described as anti-national and anti-Hindu, with the seriousness it deserves and initiate necessary legal steps.
In response, the hospital clarified that the opinions expressed in the controversial post were personal and did not reflect the organization’s views or policies. “We are grateful to those who promptly alerted us about the objectionable content,” the release concluded.
