Mangaluru: On 12th January 2025, Mangaluru International Airport, operated by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), set a new record for handling the highest number of passengers in a single day since its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on 31st October 2020. The airport facilitated the travel of 7,710 passengers, surpassing its previous record of 7,637 passengers on 10th November 2024.

Passenger and flight details

The record-breaking figure included 7,613 adults and 97 infants, managed across 49 Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) with 24 arrivals and 25 departures.

A busy weekend for the airport

This achievement followed closely on the heels of other significant traffic days, with the airport handling:

  • 7,538 passengers (48 ATMs) on 11th January 2025, the fifth-highest single-day count.
  • 7,613 passengers on 4th January 2025, another noteworthy milestone.

Mangaluru International Airport has consistently handled over 7,000 passengers on multiple occasions, including:

  • 7,548 passengers on 31st December 2023
  • 7,452 passengers on 25th November 2023
  • 7,406 passengers on 15th August 2024

  • 7,350 passengers on 10th December 2023
