In a significant drug bust, Mangaluru’s City Crime Branch (CCB) police have apprehended two individuals involved in the trafficking and distribution of MDMA, a banned narcotic.
The police seized 23 grams of MDMA, valued at Rs 1,15,000, along with two mobile phones and a Suzuki scooter, making the total value of confiscated items approximately Rs 2,10,000.
The arrested individuals are:
- Sheikh Sikander (22) from Kalaburgi

The duo was apprehended in the Kavoor police jurisdiction while engaging in the illegal sale of MDMA.
Sikander, who has a criminal history, including involvement in a murder case, and Tawfiq now face serious charges. Investigations are continuing, with the police suspecting the existence of a larger drug trafficking network.
