Mangaluru: Notorious rowdy Bharat Shetty was attacked with swords near Aaron Wines in Surathkal on Wednesday night. The rowdy sheeter, who suffered injuries to his fingers and stomach, has been admitted to a hospital and is undergoing treatment.
In his complaint, Bharat Shetty claimed that Dikshit Shetty Kaikamba, Shailesh Kaikamba, and three others were responsible for the attack.
The Surathkal police have registered a case in this regard, and the investigation is ongoing.
Sources say that Bharat Shetty and his associate came on a two-wheeler to Aaron Wines near Kulai to buy alcohol. At this time, a white car came and suddenly hit Bharat, who was sitting on the two-wheeler. Dikshit Shetty and his team, who were in the car, then attacked him.
According to sources, Bharat Shetty is accused in murder cases registered at Pandeshwar and Surathkal police stations.
Some sources claim the attack was personal. They allege that Bharat Shetty and his gang previously tried to attack Dikshit Shetty. Additionally, it is said that Bharat Shetty and his gang also attacked Shailesh Kaikamba. Based on this information, it is believed that Dikshit, Shailesh, and others attacked Bharat Shetty out of personal hatred.
