
Mangaluru to Get a New Fire Station and Major Infrastructure Upgrades
Speaker UT Khader, the elected representative of Mangaluru, recently announced that the state government has approved the construction of a new fire and emergency station within his constituency. The facility will be established at Pajeer, spanning two acres of land. A total of Rs 9 crore has been allocated for the project, with Rs 4.5 crore earmarked for building construction and the remaining amount for acquiring fire-fighting vehicles. Further funds will be allocated soon for staffing, with work expected to commence in the near future.
In addition to the fire station, Khader also revealed that the government has approved funds for the enhancement of the road connecting Thokkottu and Mudipu. The project will include the upgrading of junctions, road widening to six lanes in certain sections, and the installation of interlocking tiles. Rs 6 crore has been designated for the improvement of roads in Boliyar, Kotepura, and surrounding areas.
For village road development, Khader mentioned that every village within his constituency will receive Rs 1 crore for road improvements. If additional funds are needed for specific roads, they will be provided accordingly.
Moreover, the government has sanctioned Rs 5 crore to upgrade the infrastructure in schools and colleges across Mangaluru. These initiatives are set to bring significant progress to the region and enhance its infrastructure and services for the public.
