Mangaluru: MCC Bank Ltd. conducted its Annual Performance Review for the financial year 2025–26 and Award Ceremony 2026 at the P.F.X. Saldanha Memorial Auditorium of its Administrative Office in Mangaluru, celebrating a year of remarkable growth and recognising outstanding contributions by employees and branches.
The event highlighted the Bank’s strong financial performance, operational achievements, and commitment to customer-centric banking services.
Rev. Fr Maxim Rosario inaugurates programme
The programme was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Maxim Rosario, Estate Manager of the Diocese of Mangalore, through the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
In his inaugural address, he described MCC Bank as the pride of the Catholic community and praised its impressive progress over the years. He commended the leadership of Chairman Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo, the guidance of the Board of Directors, and the dedication of the staff in driving the institution’s growth.
He also lauded the Bank’s customer-friendly approach, professionalism, and commitment to service, which have helped strengthen customer confidence and trust.
Chairman highlights historic growth
Presiding over the programme, Chairman Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo congratulated employees for helping the Bank achieve a historic 25 per cent growth during the financial year 2025–26.
He noted that the achievement reflected the collective efforts and commitment of the staff. Highlighting the success of newly established branches, he said the Brahmavara Branch had achieved profitability within two years of operation, while several new branches had crossed the ₹10-crore business milestone within a short period.
He urged employees to continue focusing on customer service, teamwork, and innovation to achieve even greater milestones in the current financial year.
Bank performance reviewed
Shri S.H. Visweswaraiah, Bank Advisor and former Deputy General Manager of the State Bank of India, presented a detailed review of the Bank’s performance, covering deposits, CASA growth, advances, business turnover, growth trends, and non-performing assets (NPA).
The review highlighted the Bank’s strong financial position and continued expansion across its branch network.
Outstanding employees and branches recognised
The Staff Performance Review and Award Ceremony was attended by chief guests Mr. Walter Nandalike, Managing Director of Daijiworld Media Pvt. Ltd.; Rev. Fr. John L. Sequeira, Principal of Lourdes Central School, Bejai; and ACP Ravish S. Nayak of the Mangaluru City Police Commissionerate.
General Manager Shri Sunil Menezes, Directors of the Bank, and senior officials were also present.

During the programme, retired employees Mrs. Irene D’Souza, Manager of Puttur Branch, and Ms. Violet Crasta of Bajpe Branch were honoured for their dedicated service. Recently married staff members were also felicitated.
The Star Achievers Awards for FY 2025–26 were presented to:

- Mrs. Ancilla Fernandis (Shirva Branch)

Ashoknagar Branch received the Best Performance Branch Award under Deposits and Loans.

Founders, Kulshekar, Moodbidri, Shirva, Bajpe, and Karkala branches received the Deposit Mobilisation Excellence Award.

Kundapura, Puttur, B.C. Road, and Brahmavara branches received the Credit Growth Excellence Award.

The Outstanding Branch Achievement Award was presented to Udupi, Belthangady, Belman, Byndoor, and Santhekatte branches.

Founders Branch won the Highest Turnover Branch Award, while Belman, Belthangady, and Byndoor branches received the Milestone Achievement in One Year Award.

Guest speakers commend MCC Bank
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Walter Nandalike congratulated MCC Bank on its continued growth and praised the leadership of the Chairman, Board of Directors, management, and staff for strengthening the institution’s position among leading cooperative banks.

Rev. Fr. John L. Sequeira described MCC Bank as one large family that values and recognises the contributions of its members. He noted that honouring retired employees and outstanding performers motivates staff and reinforces a culture of excellence.
ACP Ravish S. Nayak highlighted the growing importance of cyber security awareness and urged staff to educate customers on safe digital banking practices.
Cyber safety awareness session held
A special cyber safety awareness session was conducted by Mr. Suresh M. from the Office of the Assistant Commissioner of Police.

He educated employees on cyber frauds, online banking scams, WhatsApp and social media frauds, OTP-related scams, and digital arrest frauds. He also explained preventive measures and emphasised the importance of spreading awareness among customers to ensure secure digital banking transactions.
Directors Shri Joseph Anil Patrao, Shri Elroy Crasta, Shri Andrew D’Souza, Shri Herold Monteiro, Shri Roshan D’Souza, Shri Melwyn Vas, Smt. Irene Rebello, Dr. Gerald Pinto, Shri Felix D’Cruz, and Professional Director Shri C.G. Pinto were present.

The programme commenced with a prayer by Bank staff members. Deputy General Manager Shri Raj F. Menezes proposed the vote of thanks, while IT Head Shri Alwyn Xavier D’Souza compered the event.
