The Mangalore Catholic Headmasters and Principals Association (MCHMPA) organized its annual Educational Conference 2025 on June 26 at the Rosario Cultural Hall, Mangaluru. The event brought together distinguished educators, administrators, and achievers to celebrate and promote educational excellence across Dakshina Kannada.

The event commenced with a prayer by students of St. Rita English Medium School, Cascia, followed by a welcome address from Mrs. Jayavanthi Soans. The conference was formally inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony.
In his keynote address, Rev. Fr. Robert D’Souza commended the selfless service of headmasters and teachers, urging students to grow into responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to society. Mr. Govinda Madivala, DDPI, lauded the schools for their dedication and congratulated Dakshina Kannada district for securing the first rank in the SSLC Board Examination. He encouraged stakeholders to focus on uplifting students scoring at the lower end of the spectrum.
Mrs. Rajalakshmi, DIET Principal, praised the efforts of students and educators, and congratulated this year’s SSLC toppers. Mr. Stany Barretto further boosted the spirit of recognition by donating ₹50,000 to top-performing students from English and Kannada medium schools, while Mrs. Surekha contributed ₹10,000 for the top-ranking female student from a Kannada medium institution.

Mr. Govinda Madivala and Mrs. Rajalakshmi were themselves felicitated for their leadership in steering Dakshina Kannada to the top of the SSLC rankings.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Matilda D’Costa, Secretary, MCHMPA.
Following the conference, the Annual General Body Meeting of MCHMPA was held.
