Media Adviser Emphasizes Social Responsibility at Afforestation Event

KV Prabhakar, the media adviser to the Chief Minister of Karnataka, underscored the collective social responsibility towards environmental conservation during the ‘Hasire Usire’ afforestation event in Mangaluru. Organized by the Dakshina Kannada Working Journalists’ Association, Mangalore Press Club, and the forest department, the event aimed to highlight the media’s role in promoting public welfare through socially oriented programs.

Prabhakar praised the journalist organizations for their impactful initiatives such as village stays and Brand Mangaluru, setting an example in Karnataka. Shivananda Tagadur, president of the Karnataka Working Journalists’ Association, acknowledged the journalists’ dedication to environmental causes by actively participating in tree planting efforts.

The event, chaired by Srinivas Nayak Indaje, president of DKWJA, gathered several dignitaries, including ACF Mangaluru, Sridhar.
