Mangalore: Milagres College, Hampankatta, Mangalore, successfully hosted the “Job Fair 2024” on July 30, 2024, from 9 am to 3 pm. Organized under the guidance of Rev. Dr. Michael Santumayor, the Principal, the event aimed to connect students and job seekers with a wide range of employment opportunities across various sectors.
The fair was inaugurated by Mr. Ajit Kamath, Chairman of CII Mangaluru and Managing Director of Ajith Enterprises. Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions, presided over the event. Joining them on the dais were Mr. Melwyn Vas, Principal of Milagres PU College; Rev. Fr. Joseph Uday Fernandes, Principal of Milagres Central School; Ms. Patsy Vas, PTA President; Ms. Riana D’Cunha, MICAA President; and Ms. Athira Pazhedathu, the event coordinator.
A total of 63 companies participated in the job fair, offering around 3,000 job opportunities. The event was open to candidates who had completed graduation, post-graduation, engineering, ITI, diploma, and hotel management courses, as well as students in their final year of study. The fair attracted 1,700 candidates, reflecting a strong interest in the opportunities provided.
The successful organization and execution of “Campus Connect – 2024” underscore Milagres College’s commitment to facilitating career development and employment opportunities for students and job seekers.
