Mangaluru: MLC Ivan D’Souza has directed the Dakshina Kannada district administration to complete the first floor of the new DC office complex and relocate the offices of the deputy commissioner, additional deputy commissioner, and assistant commissioner by August 15. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, D’Souza announced that the engineers and contractors involved in the construction have committed to finishing the first floor by Independence Day.

He added that Mangaluru Smart City Limited (MSCL) has agreed to release Rs 20 crore for the building’s completion.
“Tenders will be invited soon to address the remaining work and complete the project as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, we aim to ensure that the three major offices are operational in the new building by August 15,” D’Souza added.
The new office complex is a significant development for the region, aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency and service delivery. The timely completion and relocation of these key offices will mark a crucial milestone in the ongoing efforts to modernize Mangaluru’s infrastructure.
